I was dispatched to a fire alarm sounding at one of the apartment complexes in town around 2am Sunday morning. The people in the building didn't seem to mind, the alarm had been sounding for some time but the party on the second floor kept going. The alarm was actually called in by a police officer driving by. I was making idle chit-chat with the cop when a young man walked out of the second floor apartment party, looked around (clearly looked at the police officer and I) and proceeded to turn around the corner.
Me:"Looks like that guy's going to pee."
Cop:"I think you're right."
The cop walked around the corner, and sure enough he was right there peeing on the building. He was escorted out to the police cruiser and received a ticket for public urination. At first I felt bad for him, but then I realized that he looked around before doing it, and seeing a cop six feet away he decided all he needed to do was to go around the corner to safely break a law. Since the officer couldn't issue a ticket for stupidity, one for public urination will have to do.
